A day with Harry and Irene

Hello!

I'm very happy today!

I will be spending the day with Harry and Irene.

My day starts

 with a walk in Harry’s village, Epitalio.

Logo election

This week logo election took place. 

Van cat was present too.

Logo option 5 was the one that most children liked.

Holidays in Pyrgos!

Van Cat spend the week with the the 3rd grade 
and was present in the rehearsals for the show!

It was the day of the school show!!!!
and as you can see Van Cat was also present!

Van Cat will spend two weeks with the children of the 3rd grade

Knowing the Ancient
Musical Tradition of Greece

According to the ancient Greeks,

 music was divine as it assisted in healing both

soul and body.

On Tuesday, 11 December 2012
 we experienced  the rare feeling
 of the contact with the Music of Ancient Greece,

Music is closely related to other sciences

such as mathematics and philosophy.

Thus it was one of the important subjects

in young people’s education.

The most widely used

and popular string instrument
 in Ancient Greece

was the lyre

as not only professional musicians played it.

It was a symbol of Apollo

and was not used in outdoor performances.

It was the musical instrument

that was primarily used

as part of young people’s education

and could be characterized

as the national instrument

of the ancient Greeks.

Masterpieces of ancient Greek literature

such as the Homeric epics and Ancient Tragedies

were preserved thanks to music.

  

According to the ancient Greeks,

 music was divine as it assisted in healing both
